New sustainable cultivation method ensures stronger plants at SundaVillage

Honselersdijk, 12 June 2026SundavVillage has successfully introduced a new sustainable cultivation method that leads to stronger and healthier plants, while significantly reducing water consumption. The innovative approach is part of the company's ongoing commitment to making quality and sustainability go hand in hand.

Over the past few months ,SundavVillage has been extensively testing an advanced irrigation system that accurately doses water based on the needs of each plant. Thanks to this technology, waste is avoided and the plants receive just the right amount of water and nutrients.

According to owner Jan Vermeer, the first results are promising. "We see that our plants have stronger roots, grow more evenly and are more resistant to changing weather conditions. In addition, we have been able to reduce our water consumption by almost 30 percent."

In addition to the new irrigation technique, the nursery is increasingly using natural crop protection. This further reduces the use of chemicals and creates a healthier living environment for both plants and employees.

The sustainable investments are in line with the growing demand from consumers and garden centres for environmentally friendly grown plants. SundavVillage expects to invest further in innovative solutions that contribute to a future-proof horticultural sector in the coming years.

With this development ,SundavVillage underlines its ambition to be at the forefront of sustainable plant cultivation and to make a positive contribution to a greener future.
